What is Tele-Rehabilitation?

Tele-rehabilitation is the provision of Physiotherapy services from a distance and involves communication with a patient who is remotely located from the Physiotherapist. It allows long-distance patient and clinician contact, care, advice, education, intervention and monitoring remotely.

What are the Benefits?

The benefit of virtual therapy is that we can see you functioning in your home. We can watch you walk outside, walk up the stairs or even how you sit at your office chair. We will be able to monitor/ modify and adjust your current treatment plan, or make a new one.

We can also get your family involved in your therapy and exercise plan.

How can you ensure my Privacy?

We use a secure platform to protect your privacy. We will also gain your special consent prior to treatment. This session is not recorded.

Will my Extended health plan cover the cost?

Yes, the majority of Insurance companies have agree to pay for telehealth if provided by a Registered Provider. Here is a list of known providers, but contact your individual provider to confirm prior to treatment.
